While I love BC for its beauty, the weather can sometimes make it difficult to get outside for sessions. I like to keep my images simple and timeless without a lot of add on props or crazy colours. That being said, I came up with this simple bright airy setup for indoor intimate maternity sessions.  Yay for staying warm, and still having gorgeous images <3

Nicole and Bryce were a delight to photograph. If I had an award for most beautiful couple of 2017, they would surely win haha I can’t wait to meet their sweet girl in the coming weeks <3

Oh hey! Remember me!? Ya, I am the photographer that used to blog each session. Then I ended up getting behind  (only like… 7 or 8 sessions, no biggie *gulp*) and well.. I feel non existent in here! Disappointing because I love writing on my blog/website! I think its important for people that may not know me to get a better idea of who I am as a person, and not just a photographer.  If you don’t already,  follow me on instagram! @melissahopfnerphotography . Im pretty active on there, and I try and post behind the scenes stuff, and well.. me just being me. (insert oh oh face here)

Anyways, lets get to the good stuff. Sweet Scarlett <3  Sending this gallery off tonight, and honestly, I’m going to miss editing this adorable little face.

When newborns arrive I always like to see who they look like. Isn’t it funny how we always examine them and try and find who’s nose they have or if their hair colour came from mom or dad etc. I find in a lot of cases its not an easy task, but when it comes to this sweet girl, I feel like she looks exactly like her mamma! Im always so envious of moms who have children that look like them. I have three kids and none of them resemble me at all!

Meet, Brielle, the sweetest of the sweet <3

Life with three boys is no walk in the park! These little guys had me working fast and needing a nap by the end of the session ha! Kids attention span and cooperation time is about 30-45 mins max, so I knew going into this session my best work would have to be done in the beginning before things got crazy. I have to admit, these boys were pretty awesome.  I love how this session turned out with the super pretty golden light.

Hope you love your images guys!

I know its been like crickets around here. Its just been too much to blog and get galleries out in a timely manner. NOT complaining, just keeping it real, and letting you all know whats going on over here! 🙂  Ill probably end up posting old sessions on here during the slower months because I have missed a lot of great sessions that I am dying to share.

I  have photographed this family before so when Tara-lynn asked me to photograph their newest family member I was excited! Its always nice to see repeat clients. I love seeing clients families grow.  This little guy came in the studio a couple weeks back and I couldn’t get over how perfect his sweet little face is. Adorable just like big sister!

Great seeing you guys again! Enjoy your teaser shots 🙂

Meet Sweet Benjamin! I just love that name. He was a delight to photograph and made my job fairly easy. He’s also one of the cutest little guys ever! I have had so many sessions outdoors lately, it was nice to get back into the studio and do what I love most, Newborn photography <3

Thanks so much for bringing him in, it was great getting to see you both again, and meet your sweet boy.

I am beyond excited that I had the chance to shoot this awesome lady’s second maternity session. She is a client, turned friend that ended up moving away, so having her back in BC to do this session meant a lot, to both of us!   She really misses B.C’s gorgeous mountain views and wanted to incorporate those views in her session. I think its safe to say we accomplished that with these images.

Miss you already B! <3

I know I’ve said it before, but it really shows when two people have a true connection. Images come out so much more romantic and true. These two were not only fun to be around, but easy to photograph. I love sessions that just sort of flow easily without a lot of effort. I love their style and so envious of Ashley’s hair! Looking forward to seeing you guys again!

Oh how I loved hanging out with this little guy.  When it came time to check out his cake, it was serious business.  That icing looked delicious, I don’t blame him for concentrating on one thing and one thing only in that moment. I must admit, I was a little jealous of his life while he had two fists full of icing  😉

Thanks so much for bringing him into the studio, he was a pleasure to photograph <3
