I love this wild fun high energy family. Jenna is actually a very good friend of mine, and I have gotten the pleasure of capturing images of her growing family a couple times in the past. This is the first however we got the whole gang together for a family session. These boys are high energy, and well… boys. So I wasn’t exactly sure how this session would go. But I have to say.. besides the youngest running for the hills every 8 seconds… it went pretty good! The two older boys were super sweet and even tried to convince their little brother to come sit for images. The only thing that seemed to work was my bag of treats. (it typically never fails hehe) Fall family sessions are in full swing and I am so excited to post all the wonderful families this month! Jenna, thanks for trusting me again with images of you and your family. Enjoy the teaser shots!
I had to post this last image, not because it’s one of my favs but because it just showcases exactly what this family is like.. haha I love it!
When Ron asked if I would take some new headshots for him, I jumped at the opportunity. I worked with Ron and his wife a few years back, and knew this session would be fun. I always like to do things I don’t typically “specialize” in , and real estate head shots was definitely one of those things. I have to say, I’m glad I did it! I think the images are professional yet casual enough that he seems like a real person.I think the times of stuffy in suit, fake smile, head tilt in studio images are out. Casual yet professional are definitely in. Smart move Ron 😉 Ron is a great guy, and I hope to photograph him and his equally great family for years to come. If you need a new home, Ron will be honest down to earth and trust worthy. Check his website out at www.ronplowright.com (no he did not pay me to say that lol)
Enjoy your images Ron.
I just adore this little family! My favourite part is the fact that Miki trusted my suggestion on location and colour choices, and just let me do what I wanted to do! I love when clients are so easy going! It’s normal to be stressed about clothing, will the kids behave, location etc. But I promise if you just go with it, like this awesome family did… the results are priceless. We have had some gorgeous weather this past few days, so when I had the opportunity to shoot during the “golden hour” I was all over it! Its by far my favourite time of day to shoot. It works well for families too. They can have their dinner, unwind, kids are full and happy.. most the time. Family sessions are never strict or rushed. Especially when dealing with small children. So when you book your next session with me.. relax.. it will be fun. I promise 🙂
Thanks again guys for trusting me to capture images of your gorgeous family.
Enjoy your teaser shots!
Talk about busy! This little one had very little interest in having her picture taken. Bribes, tricks and music all failed to work, but at the end.. I think we got some pretty adorable images! I mean.. with a baby this cute.. how could I not right? Those blue eyes are breath taking. I have a family session booked with this family in the next month or so, I cannot wait to hang with her again! She is a pure doll. Thank you Miki for bringing her over. It was a pleasure meeting you 🙂
I have to admit. This one was of the most fun little sessions I’ve had. M & M have an amazing boat, and spend a lot of time on it together. They get to explore the river, find quiet private little beaches and have 2 adorable dogs that always join in the fun adventures. So they wanted their session to be… “them”. In their happiest places. The boat, and on the river. I was thrilled when they asked me to be their photographer. I really think these images showcase them. Fun, easy going, down to earth people. Thank you guys for the opportunity to be part of such a special time in your lives.
Melissa contacted me a few weeks ago, asking if I would take their family photos at their family farm. This farm been a part of their family for generations. They have recently decided to sell the farm to move onto something new, and I was honored to be part of capturing memories that meant so much to them. While moving on to something new, can sometimes make life easier, it’s always hard to say goodbye to the things we know and love. The familiar surroundings, and memories we create are life lasting. I wish you luck on the new farm. You are a great bunch and I would love to do many sessions for you in the future, on the new farm. 🙂
As I sit and write this blog post, I get goosebumps and almost teary eyed. I’ve known Amy since we were little girls. When all that mattered was Smelly felts and Girl guides. To be in touch with her still, after all these years, getting to watch her experience this new chapter in life, thrills me. Being able to capture these moments for them is a complete honor. I cannot wait to meet their little bundle of joy.
Thanks for a great day guys, Enjoy your images 🙂
